I recently came across a site offering Wine NFTs. Curious (but skeptical) I delved a little deeper. Like many others, I know what an NFT stands for (non-fungible token). So when I saw “wine” and “NFT” in the same sentence, I had to ask, “why would you want a NFT for a bottle of wine?”
Or just say no – to raw oysters at least. A Florida man who died after eating raw oysters last month was found to have multiple drugs in his blood system. And while his death made international headlines, another man in Florida also recently died after eating raw oysters from the same state.
A catastrophic wildfire in southwestern France ravaged forests and forced 10,000 people to evacuate their homes this week. Firefighters are struggling to contain wildfires in the Gironde winegrowing region, near the small town of Landiras, approximately 19 miles south-east of Bordeaux. Battling the blaze has been compared to fighting a “monster.” The fire is so large it’s visible from space. Unfavorable weather conditions have made the fire difficult to control. Hot, dry weather in France and a number of other European countries have resulted in several deadly wildfires this summer. Earlier this summer, arson was presumed to be the cause of a fire in the Gironde region; a man was taken into custody back in July. The same suspect was suspect was previously arrested in 2012 on similar arson charges according to BFMTV news .
